The course of the Roman Wall passes by King's Wicket and Busy Gap climbing to Sewingshields Crags. In centuries past drovers would often rest their cattle over night in Busy Gap. A risky decision as it was a major haunt of the Border Rievers or Moss Troopers who were notorious cattle rustlers.
