"Steel Rigg, Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland " by Roger Clegg

This picture created an interesting challenge. I am not experienced in the ways of cattle. I noticed that when a cow woke up and first stood up it stood still for about four seconds before relieving itself and wandering off. Those who know photography should understand the problem. With low light levels, slow film, and great depth of field the exposure time was about four seconds. Timing had to be high precision to catch the cow standing still after getting to its feet and before the golden shaft appeared at its rear end!
