"Winshield Crags, Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland" by Roger Clegg

Catalogue number: HW661A

Perhaps to many a significant feature of the Hadrian's Wall Path is the "trig point" at the top of Winshield Crags in Northumberland. It denotes two things. It is the highest point on the Wall and, although I have never measured it is somewhere around the middle of the walk. It is also one of my favourite places to sit and brew up a cup of tea on my small gas stove.
