Catalogue number: ST207B

Haydon Bridge is a small village on the River South Tyne in South Tynedale. It is one of the two main tributaries of the River Tyne and is a major and beautiful river in its own right that originates on Cross Fell, the highest hill of the North Pennines. This photograph shows the River at sunrise on a bright autumn morning. In the autumn this is a good place to see salmon and sea trout leaping.
